Robby — the person behind Tested by Robby

Hey, I'm Robby. I'm a homeowner on a quarter-acre outside Atlanta with two big poplars, three cats, and a garage where most of the projects on this site happen. I started Tested by Robby because I was tired of reading how-tos and reviews written by people who clearly never touched the thing they're writing about.

The how-to guides here are my own projects, photographed as I did them. Where a guide leans on research rather than my hands, it says so. If something is overhyped, I'll tell you that too.

What I Cover

  • DIY and Home Projects — wall-mounting, garage storage, drywall repair, and the tools I reach for. This is most of what I write now.
  • Yard Equipment — mower, chainsaw, blower, trimmer, and pressure washer maintenance from a quarter-acre with two big poplars.
  • Cat Products — three cats are the final judges on every fountain, bed, and piece of furniture I write about.
  • Training Gear — I train BJJ and CrossFit, so I know what holds up on the mats. Golf gear shows up occasionally; I play, but I don't review clubs.
